Day Off

I am delighted to say that my wife and I are celebrating our wedding anniversary today. See you all next Monday, when we will get back to our regularly scheduled programming.

My work has primarily been in local government positions, but I've also done stints in food service, corporate settings, and universities. I started better-boss.com to help managers learn practical, no nonsense ways to create genuine relationships with their teams and engage in frequent, candid communication about the work.

I am also an educator for the University of Illinois iSchool, teaching Personnel Management & Financial Management, and I occasionally do speaking engagements on those topics.
